Cindy Lin

Cindy's legal career began as a paralegal at a boutique plaintiff-side law firm, where she helped injured parties in medical malpractice, personal injury and employment litigation. She subsequently attended law school at the University of Washington and maintains a practice that emphasizes labor and employment law
Prior to joining HKM, Cindy maintained a solo practice emphasizing the representation of employees and immigrants. In addition to having her own business, she partnered with firms including HKM on cases in the areas of employment and commercial law and class actions. During law school, Cindy represented claimants in unemployment compensation appeals as a legal intern at the Unemployment Law Project. She worked in both the Criminal and Employment Divisions of the Seattle City Attorney's Office, where she gained courtroom experience as a Rule 9 prosecutor and became versed in issues relating to municipal and union-represented employees. Cindy also externed with the Seattle office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), where she worked on matters involving gender, race, and age discrimination.
Cindy is currently a member of the New Member Committee of the Washington State Association for Justice (formerly Washington State Trial Lawyers). She also volunteers with the King County Bar Association Family Law Mentor Program.
